Hey guys!
I am so excited to finally…FINALLY be sharing a home tour post! Yes, I’ve finally gotten off my butt to take all of the pictures and write everything up. It took a while, but I am so happy to have it done. It makes me feel so proud looking through the photos.
When I first started blogging in 2014, I kind of felt like I didn’t really have direction. We were bopping from rental to rental as my job moved and Mike went back to school, so I didn’t really have a chance to figure out exactly what my style was when doing projects.
It didn’t help that this was the HEIGHT of the Fixer Upper farmhouse craze, which although I dabbled in it because we all succumb to peer pressure sometimes, it was never me. I definitely didn’t feel like I belonged in a lot of blogging groups because I didn’t know of many other bloggers like me.
I also couldn’t really relate to a lot of the projects and rooms I saw online because I didn’t have a 5-bedroom house. It seemed like a lot of the projects I saw were either apartment friendly or large-house friendly without a whole lot in between. (I know they existed, but it took me a while to find and friend them.)
When I began to develop my style years ago, I still didn’t feel like the demand was really there. But boy has a lot changed now! People seem to really be loving and gravitating toward simpler, smaller spaces, and I feel like my time is now! (Thanks, Marie Kondo and friends.)
Everywhere I look, I am seeing inspiring stuff that I love. I still don’t know how many townhouse bloggers there are, but I know they are more out there, too.
So if you like my style, please sit back and enjoy my tour of our townhouse.
I hope you find something that inspires you!
