Make Over Nightstands Using Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint | DIY

So, this post is less about the photos and more about the night stands I scored on Craigslist and repainted. These nightstands were exactly the style I was looking for, but they weren’t the right color. I decided to paint them a gray-blue color as a nod to the similar “tobacco blue” nightstands I’d been eyeing at World Market the week before. However, those nightstands were smaller and $150 each, and I just wasn’t willing to pay that. I used Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint, which is super easy to work with. The paint requires no priming or sanding; however, I did do some light sanding before and after the first coat. I mixed the shades Yesteryear and Relic to get the gray-blue color I used.
Here is what the nightstands looked like when we brought them home.
Here’s Henry being really helpful with the first coat of paint.
After a second coat of paint, I finished using the Americana Decor Soft Touch Varnish.
